Sneijder To Inter - Done

Mourinho's done it again!

After completing somewhat of a coup in acquiring Samuel Eto'o from Barcelona in a ridiculous deal at what seems the Spanish club's expense (£40 million and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic) he's gone and done it again.

Real Madrid have declared it today,
Wesley Sneijder will be wearing an Inter Milan shirt next season. Sneijder has come out and said that this deal has gone ahead against his will and he had wanted to fight for his place at the Bernabeu, although he has satisfied Inter fans by claiming he will give it all for the Nerazzuri.

Real's loss will certainly be Inter's gain. This is a player who is great with both feet, immaculate at set pieces and brilliant from long range. His range of passing may have seen be a more suitable replacement for Xabi Alonso at Liverpool. But for just £13.2 million Inter have acquired a substantial talent.

That's right, one of the world's shining talents for only £13.2 million. Now that is a bargain. Massimo Moratti must be doing something right as president to get this player at such a low cost. Aston Villa were rumoured to be interested but a move to the Italian giants makes more sense.

Scoring three goals (one a sublime Beckham-esque free kick) in his first two La Liga appearances for Madrid led us all to believe that this was a star in the making, certainly worthy of wearing the white of Real.

But injury forced him to miss the majority of last season and with new signings during the summer he has found himself surplus to requirements in Spain.

Let's hope his career in Italy starts with a bang and we can look forward to enjoying this prodigal talent in South Africa in 2010.
